CORTI IN SITU 2025
In situ video at the Château de Methon Saint-Bernard
Installation entitled CORTI IN SITU and presented in 2025 as part of the 3rd edition of the Contemporary Art Biennale "Botanical Legends" in Menthon Saint Bernard.
It is composed of 14 canvases, a "painting machine" sculpture and a 4-minute video.
This immersive work offers a reflection on the link between man and nature by highlighting the manual work of the gardener in the face of the excesses of the market gardening industry.
A journey through which the gestures, tools and traces left by the gardener are evoked, while raising essential questions about the environment.
Gardening tools were collected and assembled to create a painting machine that became both a sculpture and a creative instrument. The gardener's gestures were then interpreted in duet with the painting machine on canvas.
The natural pigments and binders used reflect the care given to nature. Each plot presents an imprint of carrot tops, hidden then revealed by the movements of the machine, creating "plantation" works that impose themselves before the viewer, recalling the beauty of a hand-cultivated garden.
On the wall, a video completes the installation.
